Our Story

From humble beginnings to international trade, our journey is one of passion, perseverance, and purpose — proudly growing with the names of our children on every box we ship.

A Family Legacy Rooted in the Tropics

Founded in 2007, Produce in Paradise  emerged from the vision of Esteban Cabrera -a 28 year old Cuban American and 3rd generation entrepreneur.  Guided by the values instilled in him at a very young age, of honesty, hard work, determination and resilience . Esteban set out to build something meaningful and lasting. 

Driven by a desire to build his own legacy and honor his family’s heritage, Esteban purchased  a small truck and began sourcing produce from local wholesalers in the Miami market. That produce was then sold to independent Latin supermarkets around south florida. In time this eventually led to more trucks and more markets , both local and foreign. 

By 2019 his vision evolved  with our first farm in Ecuador, marking the start of our journey toward vertical integration .Since then we have continued adding new layers to our goods and services becoming a more complete and dynamic force within the produce industry. Despite our growth, we remain deeply rooted in our humble beginnings , which is why we treat all of our customers , no matter the size, with respect and dedication.

What began as a small family effort has grown into a global operation — but we’ve never lost our roots. Guided by integrity, hard work, and a deep respect for the land, we continue to grow with the same values that shaped our journey. Our Production

From seed to shelf: we own the process.

Produce in Paradise controls its supply chain from planting to packing. With active operations in Ecuador, Guatemala and Nicaragua, and local logistics from Miami, we ensure consistency, traceability and year-round availability.
